When I turn on AC, the light comes on however it blows hot air. Mechanic told me that it was an electrical problem but he didnt know where. My question is what type of electrical issue would effect just the AC, is it possible it is just a fuse and something I could do mysef?

If you can hear the AC clutch kicking on/off, then most likely it is low on R134a.

If no clutch on/off, then connection to compressor, or AC switch or a host of other things.

Best thing to do is to get it diagnosed by AC specialist.
