hey 2carpros;

My question how do i know if a throttle cable is bad; my gas pedal is hard to depress; sometimes have to keep foot to floor or criuse contol on to relax foot.
Is tps sensor related to this problem?
Also i notice a slight hesition when eng is cold. I replaced the electric fuel pump; fuel filter; and sock but still no change. Could the new pump be incorrect? The eng compress is good at 200 psi and fuel pressure with in range.
A chek eng light came on for infecient cat which Meineke replaced' I'd appreciate your imput. Rob

The cable to throttle body may be binding, or the throttle plate is binding.

Rotate TB cam by hand and see if it operates smoothly, if so then cable is suspect.

Look at cable routing and cable for kinks.

I chek all throttle cables; the cable from the throttle body to the transmissions binds and doesnt return; so maybe thats the problem and has a kink.
Thanks for your imput
