2002 Toyota Corolla bearing

The car makes a winding sound when I steer toward the right, especially at higher speeds. I noticed it a year ago when it started out, at first, faint and hardly noticeable. Recently it's more pronounced. What other part costs might I be looking at if the bearings have to be replaced? What is the normal repair price for something like this? Any common ploys I should watch out for when trying to get this worked on?

Toyota's have pressed in bearings, not hub assemblies. You must remove the entire front knuckle and have the bearing pressed out/in.

Before replacing the bearing, try this:

Raise car, put on stands. Grasp tire and push/pull both horizontally and vertically, if any movement then possible wheel bearing, ball joint, tie rod, control arm bushing.

Check CV boots for any signs of leakage or cuts/rips in rubber boot.
