My starter went out and we replaced it and now we can not get the steering wheel or the ignition to unlock when we try to turn the key.

Try to pull the steering wheel fully clockwise or counter clockwise (lock to lock) and AT THE SAME TIME trying to turn the ignition to ON position. Sometimes the steering wheel lock gets stuck
