2001 Toyota Corolla car sound

I turn on my car and it makes a loud thud sound it runs fine what can that be?

Check motor mounts, check starter to make sure it is tight, also check flexplate to torque convertor bolts, make sure they are not loose, although they will normally make a knock when starting and shutting off.
