2001 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 73950 miles

Went to a local Firestone for service -- was told, "the Main Belt had to be replaced because it squeaked, but it was not cracked or broken."
My Question: What should be done -- should it be oiled, replaced, or is there some other remedy?

If the belt is squeaking but is not damaged or streched at all then I would suggest trying some belt dressing. If it continues to get worse than you may want to consider replacing it at that time.
