I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla CE with P0171 code.

I am getting when driving slow but not on highways. This is all coming after I changed my air filter that bought at Kragen (cheap one for 7/-) and I did vacuumed the air filter enclosure. I even scratched the material that stick to it, while vacuuming, is that has any effect I don't know.

Please help me to get rid of this problem. I have to commute 60 miles each way everyday on it.

Some say cleanin og MAF? Where can I find the MAF on my 2001 TOYT Corolla CE?

MAF is located on the intake near throttle body, has a 5-6 wire connector to it.

Remove and spray MAF cleaner in it, DO NOT TOUCH the wires inside MAF.

Thanks for the reply. I located after I seen the part in Kragen. I did removed from sensor the car(little tought tto remove with that angle), then sprayed 10 to 15 times with the MAF cleaner(little costly to buy, but very less compare to replace). Then I see lot of power in my car.

But I still see little bit of lag driving if I go less two miles per hour. Is it common or may be the problem, I don't know. Now I reset my check engine light too.
