Hi,

My toyota corolla 2000, when i turned on the engine. I can hear like a whistling sound or cricket sound. I hate it. Can you tell me what's wrong with my car? Thanks.

On a cold engine, remove serpintine belt, start engine for 30 seconds, if noise stops, then belt tensioner, or assy. drive pulley (PS, Alt. WP, AC).

Install belt, if tensioner assy, "bounces" or has excessive movement, than replace tensioner assy.
