my corolla is missing when i hit the gas and has very little power. i pulled the map sensor plug and it runs fine until about 60 mph. i'm assuming i likely need a new map sensor. would i be correct? (no check engine light on until i pull the map sensor plug)

You might be right with the MAP sensor. But if it was me I'll check the throttle position sensor's closed and wide open voltages to be in the safe side to include the fuel pressure.

Refer to the repair manual as per its specifications-

i still have problems with my corolla...i retrieved the following codes yesterday...
p0171(too lean)
p0100(maf circuit)
p0101(mass/volume circ. range perf. malf.)
p0110(intake air temp circ. malf.)
p0171 again as the 5th code

i pulled a vacuum line off going to the aftermarket cruise control that had been taking on chemicals(smelled like stale fuel) because it was spongey and i thought that might be the issue but after plugging the 'T' where in went into the valve cover intake, it still threw codes. It seems to run okay, sometimes have to try to start a second time when cold. worried about long term effects/gas mileage. will a repair manual from a typical auto parts store explain how to test fuel sensors, maf or map sensors and or circuits?
