2000 Toyota Corolla AC rattles while idling

2000 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 215,000 kilometers

Recently my AC has started to rattle while the car is idling, but stops when I accelerate. When I turn the AC off completely, the rattling stops. The AC is still blowing cold. What is causing this?

The AC clutch may be loose, remove belt, grasp clutch and see if you have any play. Also inspect compressor hold down bolts, make sure they are tight.
