1999 Toyota Corolla Two Wheel Drive Automatic 116454 miles

I was driving in snow yesterday when all of a sudden my driver's side windshield wiper started only going halfway across the windshield for a few minutes before finally dying. However, my passenger windshield wiper kept working. I'm not sure what happened.

Check that the nut is tight that holds the wiper arm to the wiper transmission. They are usually covered with a plastic cap.
