My mechanic says fuel filter must be in gas tank...does this need to be changed ever? Why do right control arms fail in Corollas but not left? I replaced one in my 1997 and my 1999. Thanks! Lagarpin

Check your owners manual concerning the fuel filter, it will tell you the maint. schedule.

Control arms should not fail, check with Toyota concerning any TCB's about this issue. Have the alignment checked. Make sure the tires are balanced.
Are you using aftermarket rims?
