Car engine makes rattling noise upto 30 Mph speed, as I accelerate above 30 it goes away. I checked this with Mechanic, he told that it needs to replace Driving belt tenstioner.
I am curious about what other possible resons for this rattling noise and how serious it could if it is driving belt tensioner?
Also how much it will cost me?
Thanks

It is possible that it is valve train/chain noise, but I would think it is the tensioner and $200 or so should cover it depending on where you get the part.
The tensioner will eventually get worse and possibly sieze, stranding you, destroying belt.
