1998 Toyota Corolla White smoke from engine

Today I drove my car and after awhile it started to have white smoke coming from the hood of the car. Then it just working altogether. By the way it was smelling pretty bad. I went back to check again and nothing works now(lights won't turn on). Car does not turn over.

You have a direct short to ground that caused a few wires to burn inspect thoroughly-start at the battery positive cable
