When I turn my turn signal switch to the left, nothing happens. If I go to the right, the lights work fine.
I can get the left side to work if I play with the switch.
Do I need to replace the switch, and if so, How do I go about it?

Use the car repair link in this thread or get a Haynes manual. They will outline the procedure and any special tools that may be needed.

Repair manuals are a valuable asset, they will pay for themselves the first repair. They will also give you an idea of what you are getting into.
