Hello -

My car (left at airport for 1 day) did not accelerate (or accelerated only with difficulty.

Am taking to shop tomorrow but what kind of problem should I steel myself to be facing?

If the engine is idleing properly and will rev in neutral, then you may be looking at a powertrain problem.

But it is hard to diagnose, from your description.
