Transmission problem
1996 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Automatic 133000 miles

Hi,
I took my car for the regular maintenance and the the repair center asked me that they recommend a transmission flush, radiator flush and power steering flush? Is it a good idea to carry out a transmission flush? Does it cause any problems to engine or transmission?

You can, but you don't have to. While there are other vehicles that benefit from transmission flush, your vehicle won't see much of it. Just perform drain and refill every 30K, you are fine.

Too add to the great advice Zackman gave:

Grab your owners manual and read the scheduled maint. Section.
See if and when the radiator, trans. PS flush are scheduled or recommended.

Most newer Toyota's do not have a scheduled trans flush, but the owners manual will give you proof of what is needed or not.
