how to access/ loosen the belts to remove them so that they may be replaced

Loosen pivot bolt (some models use a tension adjustment bolt) then push the component inwards to loosen that specific belt..

To add to what Blue said:

The AC belt also has a tensioner, and PS usually runs off rear or WP drive. Start with belt farthest out and work inward.
