cannot see a circlip and the cv joint dosnt chap off.starting to annoy me.help please.chris

Hi there,
There should be a "C" clip on the shaft end that fits into the transmission only, it is a wire "C" clip and with out it the axle will not lock in, your local drive line shop should be able to supply missing clips.

P.S. I have seen shafts break at the "C" clip groove, if there is no groove this will be the problem.
