While driving the car began to emit white smoke. Pulled over and discovered that the radiator was broken in the middle of the top. A mechanic stopped by and said that it was broken because during recent repairs that somebody leaned on the radiator and that is why it cracked. Had it just been from normal wear and tear it would have broken on the top edges or bottom.
He said that my mechanic would replace it because it was their fault.

True?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

Radiator tanks can fail anywhere, top bottom sides. I feel that this will be no ones fault, its just normal wear and tear, just leaning on the tank won't crack it, it is a failure due to fatigue and this is quite a normal thing to see.
