Old axles "pop" out, use a prybar.

You must remove the axle at the steering knuckle, so you remove the outer tie rod end, lower ball joint, axle nut, unbolt caliper and hang it out of way.

Replace seal at transmission.

New axle pops in, you can use a long heavy screwdriver on tripod notch to help axle pop in.
