1995 Toyota Corolla Suspected faulty fan

1995 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I am trying to check a suspected faulty fan ( the car is overheating)but can not work out how to undo the fan wiring connector which is illustrated in the Hayne's Manual but without any explanation of how it can be undone.Thank you

The fan should be just a "squeeze" connector. Don't forget to check the coolant temp sensor and the fan relay if the fan checks out OK. Hope this helps.
