My corolla starts fine and ,at first, runs fine. After about 10-15 minutes, it starts hitchin, as if one of the injectors wasn't firing. Very low power. If I shift down, it acts better and appears to be normal. I stop, and the car idles fine. Sometimes, I will smell ozone and occasionaly see a bit of smoke. If I go on the turnpike, it will take forever to get up to speed. Once up to highway speed, it will go fine. When I slow back down to intown speed, and stop and go travel, it will start acting up again.

Has anyone had this problem? thank you for any help.

It sounds like a clogged convertor, have it tested at a trusted garage, they will perform a backpressure test.
