Which radaitor hose is the thermostat located in the top or bottom. I know it will be on the end connected to the engine.

Usually on this engine, the bottom. Follow the hose up, it will connect to a water housing, containing the thermostat, coolant fan switch, coolant temp switch, and guage temp sender. It is below the distributor.
