About 2 months ago, I had the distributor replaced in my 1994 Corolla, after it died. It ran beautifully until last night, when it started sputtering like it was running out of gas. (Has a full tank.) Could this be a bad ignition coil in the new distributor? It's a bit tough to start, but once it's running, it sounds normal at an idle, but when I press the gas pedal, it sputters and tries to die. And it will die if I don't let off the gas. Or could this possibly be just a bad tank of gas? Thank you.

Check and test the airflow meter and throttle position sensor-to include a fuel pressure check with and w/o the pressure regulator
