Brakes problem
1993 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I just put new shoes and drums on my car. When I put the wheels on and tightened the nuts I tried to spin the wheels and they wouldnt move. I adjusted the star wheel(I think its called) so that its all the way in(the shortest it will go, and the wheel still doesnt move. My E brake isnt on, as far as I know because the drum spins without the wheel on. Its just when I tighten up those nuts. Are the drums the wrong size? Can anyone help. thanks.

Are you saying when you tighten the lug nuts the wheel won't turn-if the drum shoes are adjusted properly and drum spin w/o the wheel on it should turn freely.

If drums spin freely without wheel, but don't spin with wheel on, then I would suspect the wrong drum, or shoes.

If you still have old drums, install them and see if wheel turns, if so then wrong drums. If not then shoes.
