Tempiture reading going from hot to cold. Fan not on but I dont know if im getting a false reading and were is the thermostate located.

HI there, the fan is operated by separate sensor, what you need to do first is check that thermostat and make sure you have circulation, feel the top & bottom hoses, if the lower hose is very cool, with the engine showing that the temp is up, replace the thermostat. Start here and report back how you go.

Thanks for the tip. I never thought about checking the hoses to see if they were cold and hot for circulation. I changed the thermostate promblem gone. I would love to donate but now is a very bad time as I have no pay for 2 years. The job looked timidating to do as every thing is so compacked on todays cars. And the weather in ohio gets real cold at this time of year. But the weather was not baD AND IT WAS EASYER THEN I AMAGINED. THANKS AGAIN.
