Hi when i turn my toyota corolla off the back tail lights will not switch off, also when the car is on but motor not running there is a symbol on the dashboard showing a picture of a car with the tail lights on how can i turn this off

Sounds more like the brake lights are on instead of the running lights -check the brake switch
