i would just like to know if a toyota 4AGE will bolt up to a toyota 4AFE transmission or do i need to buy one with the engine i'm buying...thanks

Not sure, but Toyota used the A131L (3 speed) and the A240 (4 speed) in 1992.

You can ask a Toyota parts dealer, or a transmission repair shop.

The 4AFE was rated at 102HP and the 4AGE was rated at 130HP. The difference was the cylinder head and the compression ratio.

The problem is that the ECM's, injectors are different on the two engines, so you MAY have to replace the entire engine harness.
Also depends if the 4AGE engine is a Federal engine or a CA. engine (CA. engines had EGR, Federals did not). The engine harness on the two are different and would have to be changed.
