Do I need any kind of special tools to replace the rear struts on my car?

You will most likely have to remove the rear seat to get to the upper mounts.

The lower bolts to the knuckle are best taken out with an impact wrench, and you need an alignment when you get done. Spray PB Blaster on the bolts and let them sit overnight.

Have the strut springs removed/installed at a shop with a professional spring compressor (unless you can find quick struts, with spring already on). The spring is under tremendous pressure and can cause severe injury.
