I have got a 1991 toyota corolla got it from my sister cause I know shes still got life left in her my question is when I push down on the trunk on the left side it drops down more then three inches right side done do that.
I reached in to the coil over and I could compress the spring with my bare hands. Dose that mean I need a new strut and spring or just a new strut or just a new spring

You need a new strut and spring, they are called "quick struts".
I would replace in pairs.

Other things you want to do, drain and flush cooling system and refill with fresh coolant, drain trans fluid, refill and change trans filter, make sure cooling fan is working, change oil and filter, check differential level, inspect hoses and belts replace as necessary. Inspect exhaust header for missing/loose bolts.
Have charging tested at most autoparts stores for free. If youare not sure of last tune up, replace wires, cap and plugs, use NGK platinum plugs and Denso wires (they are around $60 but worth it).
Inspect CV axles and axles seals. Look for leaks at axle seals and cuts/rips in CV boots.

Keep it maintained and fix any problems listed above and you will probably get another 200K out of her.
