The car starts and runs. It used to shake when going faster then 55miles. Recently it doesn't even go past 20mph. The accelarator pedal, when fully stepped on it still doesn't go beyond 20mph. People tell me it's the gas and another guy with the same car said it was a tune up that I needed. With the shaking I was told I need a wheel balancing. But I am more concerned with the lack of power.I know you guys can help me out.

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging etc. Could be caused by one of the following below.

Inspect and test all the following listed below and get back with some results

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.

Take the convertor off and look inside, if melted or cracked, then convertor is problem.
Convertor is bolted on.
