1989 Toyota Corolla Battery And Brake Light

While I was Driving from Pennsylvania to NY my Brake And Battery light both went on at the same time. A few minutes later they went off together too. It did this about 2 more times until they stood off in NY, but after I turned off my car and returned to it 45 minutes later they went back on. What does that mean when they both go on and off., and what might it be?

Hi there,

Get the alternator checked out, this may be a faulty regulator or sticky brushes.
