1986 Toyota Corolla will idle good

When I start car it idles good and just touch the gas pedal it dies and after that I can hold pedal to the floor and it will idle again until I release pedal and it dies, its as if the pedal moves at all it dies.

Do you have a carbuerator or an EFI fuel system?

Check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump also check the fuel filter to include the carb's accelerator pump

I put a new fuel pump on 7 months ago and changed out fuel filter to solve problem I thought maybe it could be the accelerator pump but wanted some pro opinion first.
