1986 Toyota Corolla Distbutor

Im trying to install a new distbutor bot my car want crank. It getting to much gas and the plugs are getting wet. I have a new carbarator on it and the gas is flowing good. Could u please help me install it correctly so I dont mess up my engine.

Remove plugs, rotate engine clockwise by hand (socket and ratchet on balancer bolt). Place finger over #1 cylinder (closest to assy side). Rotate engine when you feel air coming out #1 you are approaching TDC #1, align timing mark on balancer.

Install dist, with rotor pointing directly at #1 plug wire.
