hey
i have a 79 ke55 toyota corolla and i have to change the rear gear box seal and i was wondering whether there was a special tool or technique to removing the seal

Hi there,

No special tools, just pry out the old seal place the new seal in square and tap home, just smear a little oil on the seal surface so it not running dry when it starts. if it still has the dust shield ( a Long tube fitted over the rear of the gear box where the seal is, this just taps of and on as well.
