1995 Toyota Celica w/142,884 miles. I was driving and my tran. stop pulling. When I put it in "Park" it makes a funny noise. I can start it just fine and put it in ever gear and it well not catch, but it still makes that noise when i put it into park. I can keep it in "park" and push the car foword, and back with no prob. Please HELP!

Bad news, you need a new or rebuilt tranny. The mileage is about right for a failure at about 150K. It all depends on how you have had it serviced 30K intervals. Pay me now or pay me later Good luck

It happen about three weeks after I just had a rebuilt kide put in the tranny. :roll:

There is no such thing as a tranny kit, there is an over haul set that comes with all the parts needed. The "tranny filter kit"I have seen is no more than a gasket and filter. It is either a compete over haul with all the parts replaced or a filter change. If it was an overhaul it needs to be re-done. Let me know
