2002 Toyota Celica Engine locked up need to pull and overha

The AllData manual says engine should be lowerd and car raised to pull the motor. I'm trying to do this in my garage and don't have access to hydrolic lifts. Can the motor be pulled out the top? There seems to be room.

Hi there,

I have removed these engines from the top its a bit tighter but it will come, at worst drop off the transmission first as it has to come of anyway.
