I was just wondering if you could give me an estimated guess on how much it would cost to repair my soonroof. Here's the facts that I know of:
#1 it has been siliconed around the top
#2 the switch on the inside and the small box that its attached too leasks water when it rains.
either way I'm pretty sure the who thing needs to be redone. Electrical too.

Hi there,

these type of repairs are very hard to price until the extent of the damage is known, you will have to have the sun roof opened up and inspected as there is a motor, regulator, tracks & electrical switches that all could be faulty, as often the hood lining must be disturbed to access these components the cost can blow out considerably.

Okay so lets say everything had to be re-done (minus the actualy glass part cuz its not cracked or anything). Am I looking at 500-700$ less or more roughly? I tired to search this but couldnt find any estimate :(

Hi there,

I will have a look around some of the spare parts sites and see if there is anything about, it may be a case of contacting your dealer, bur I may be a case of make sure your sitting down as it wont be cheap> Your other option is the wreckers.
