1992 Toyota Celica

When I let my car idle, sometimes the idle will be really low, and it will run extremely rough, then other times, it will be normal, around 750 rpm, and it will jump back and forth between 750, and 1000 rpm. And if I drive for awhile, and come to a stop, the car will just stall, unless I put it in neutral and rev the engine.

When I let it idle, I listened to the engine, and it makes a sound liike air whistling, and then the sound will stop for a few seconds, and start again for a few seconds.

what could the problem be?

Clean out the idle air control valve and EGR valve and see what happens. If it continues test the TPS and Airflow meter
