Install the timing belt on all the sprockets, except the camshaft sprocket.
Install the timing belt guide with the cup side facing outward.
Install the lower timing belt cover and then install the crankshaft pulley. Tighten the pulley bolt to 80 ft. Lbs.
Check that the No. 1 cylinder is at TDC by turning the crankshaft pulley clockwise until the groove on the pulley is aligned with the 0 mark on the timing cover.
Install the timing belt around the camshaft sprocket. Loosen the idler pulley set bolt 1/2 turn so that the pulley exerts tension on the timing belt. Turn the crankshaft pulley clockwise 2 complete revolutions, then tighten the No. 1 idler pulley set bolt to 31 ft. Lbs. (42 Nm).
Make sure there is tension on the timing belt
