Always put in the correct fluid or you may create a problem. Today's cars are engineered for certain goals, and the fluid properties can be detrimental.
Low fluid however will burn out the clutches and she may have already caused damage.
I'd flush it and get new fluid in it, it's good maintenance anyway.
