Programmed radio stations do not stay when car is turned off

I have a 1998 Toyota Camry XLE with about 112,000 miles on it. It is a V6 and is in very good condition. The radio is from the factory and has had no repairs on it up to now. When I program the radio stations, they stay programmed as long as the car is on. Once I turn the car off the stations go away. When I turn the car back on, the stations are no longer programmed and the radio is always turned off (even though it was on when I turned the car off).

Can you help?

Hello !

Should be a fuse.

Start checking all of them, the memory its keep it with a live (+) feed to the radio at all time.

(the fuse box its under the dashboard)

let us know if you find it !

Good Luck!

I looked up a '99 Camry radio wiring diagram in "Prodemand"

There are 2 diagrams

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

1st with amplifier

There are 3 fuses shown in it.

Radio 1 / 20 amp left side of engine compartment

Radio 2 / 7.5 amp behind dash, left of column

ECU-IG 15 amp behind dash, left of column

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

2nd without amplifier

The diagram differs,

However,

The fuses are the same as w/ amplifier and the amperage and locations are the same for the fuses.

Hope this helps
