2009 Toyota Camry 6 cyl Automatic 350 miles

I recently purchased a 2010 Toyota Camry. Ever since I got the car I have noticed a noise whenever I get going. It only happens once (usually per start up. After going a couple feet, I hear a “grrr” grind from under the front of the car that lasts for about half a second.

The noise occurs when:
- When I back out of driveway in reverse, put the car in drive and start to drive away. A couple of feet ahead I would hear the noise.
- I was leaving the gym this morning. Started to drive forward and than turned the wheel to the right and heard the noise.

I never hear the noise when going in reverse. Just in drive and/or turning the wheel and it is always the first couple of feet.

I know the car has anti-lock brakes. I am wondering if this is the anti-lock braking system checking itself?

I would say its the ABS doing a self check. Its under warranty, how come you don't take it to the dealer?

Does the noise happen all the time? If so, did you take the tech or service writer with you to let them hear the noise also?
