The car was filled with 3/4 tank of diesel fuel by mistake.
I know the tank must be drained. What else has to be done to the car to make it run properly?

HI there, as you say the tank must be cleaned, drain the lines, replace the filter and top up with premium fuel add a liberal dose of fuel conditioner as well, there will be no long them problems from this error in fueling and any residual smoking will clear up so do not worry.

My wife is from another country where they dont dispense fuels like we do here & so we have this situation.
My Toyota dealer says this costs 1,000 dollars which I dont have. They also say the tank has to be removed, all fuel lines removed, charcoal filters replaced ect ect.
I want to have the car towed home & do this work myself. I will do as you suggest & think it will be fine.
I appreciate your input & quick responce.
