Toyota says not to disconnect the battery without checking with dealer. This was under airbag section in owners manual, so I assume it affects air bag system.

Want to disconnect battery for winter storage in garage

Yes you can disconnect the battery-Just make sure you have the proper antifreeze protection in the radiator-otherwise it will expand and break something.

You might have to go into computer relearning process when you re-activate the car again.
