I recently had a reconditioned motor put in due to engine wear/bearings worn all the way out cause of low oil. The "new-to-me" (17k miles on it) engine was fine for about 3K miles. Now as I'm accelerating, there is a heavy rumbling type vibration that occurs. It stops when you take your foot off the accelerator but starts right back as you get back on the accelerator and continues as you maintain speed. No funny noises present (yet), but the rumbling/vibration seems to shake the whole car. What could be causing this to happen?

This could be causes by a numer of things ranging from the fuel filter(s) to spark plugs and wires. If the CHK. ENG. Light comes on, it is an emmissions issue (ie. O2 censor or EGR valve) Try the cheapest first
