2004 Toyota Camry Maint rqd light

Hi,
My maint rqd light came on about a week or so ago..I was going to make an appt for my oil change and have them check that. I got in my car today and now my check ingine light came on. My car runs fine, no smells no problems driving it. My question is would leaving that Maint light on cause the engine to come on? Thank you

Not likely engine light means computer found a fault in a component. Go to an Auto Zone have codes read then post will advise.
