Brakes problem
2004 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Automatic

I am not too familiar with cars. Recently I noticed that when i press on my brakes, there is a stiff rod that wont let me press the brakes freely. I almost thought i would hit into the front car at the red light.

It had snowed that day. But if it were the snow, the car should skid....its actually something with the brakes.

My husband tells me its nothing to worry about and could be the Anti-Lock system activating.

I bought the CAMRY brand new from a toyota showroom in Aug 2004. I have an extended 5 yr warranty on it. But i have never taken my car back to the dealer for any inspection.

What could be the matter? Would i be charged if i take the car in for an inspection?

HI there,

There will be a service charge for an inspection, but what price do you put on your safety? Go get the problem inspected asap, next time it may be a child on a bike that you cant stop in time for.
