When I drive my car for about ten minutes my oil lamp starts to flicker, then it stays on and then I here a ticking noise. I was thinking maybe my oil pump is goin out. But I do not know where it is at.

If I were you I will not drive it until you find the problem. If the engine is running and the oil light is ON whether steady or flickering, it means there is no oil circulating inside the engine. Oil is like our blood, no oil , engine dies.

Have you check your oil dipstick if it is in full mark level? Oil light usually comes ON when your engine is really low on oil.
